The performer stands two decks of cards on end and gently balances a toothpick across them. Now, he carefully removes a deck from under one end of the toothpick. The toothpick remains balanced on the one remaining deck! A spectator is allowed to tap the point of the toothpick making it fall off the deck. Now, no matter what they try, the spectators cannot repeat the feat!
