Alas, the necklace is totally ruined. You ask a spectator to help you by placing the pieces into the vial, so you can take them to the jeweler to see if he can repair the necklace. After she does so and places the top on the vial, you give it a little shake and announce that perhaps magic could fix the broken chain. You remove the stopper and pour out¾ into the spectator’s hand¾a com-pletely restored necklace. The vial is otherwise empty.
