He was taken in as a partner by Thayer and the arrangement prospered until “Chris” went went off to war in 1917.[1] While with Thayer he was editor of the Magical Bulletin. Christianer gave the first description of a Sandwich trick in The Magic Wand, Vol. 7, No. 77, January 1917.

By 1917, Christianer had been engaged in the specialization of magic for the 17 years. He played vaudeville, but his favorite line of work was society entertaining. It was reported that he died a young age after a long illness.
