Richard Valentine Pitchford (24 November 1895 – 13 November 1973) was a master magician under the name Cardini, whose career spanned almost half a century.[1] Born in Britain, he worked chiefly in the United States of America (source Wikipedia).

This is an original set of cards, Walgreen circa 1930.  This is one deck complete and unused. Box does show edge wear but cards are in fine condition and have never been used.

Cardini is a manipulation and card fanning legend. SME is pleased to offer this Peau Doux Fanning Deck previously owned by the master, Cardini himself.  This deck was purchased from a close friend of Cardini’s, Danny Dew in 1979.  Danny offered this deck for sale from a collection of props he acquired from Cardini.  From Amsterdam, magician Ed Keener wrote in the June 1979 issue of Genii Magazine, “The Great Cardini entrusted Danny with every magical item he ever made”.  The Peau Doux  decks came in gold and silver finishes.  The silver decks were Cardini’s favorite because they were more visible. Danny kept the silver decks and sold the two gold decks. Sold as a set of 2, one deck contains a blank face card.  Both decks are complete, unused, in new deck order and have Jokers.  Boxes show wear. Uncommon.
