If you build it – the spirits will come! Well that’s what Lary Kuehn and T. Everett Bookings III assure us. But if you want absolute truth, this book is the only one I have ever seen that goes into specific details about how to really create such unique “spooky” apparatus. For those that have been waiting and hoping – you time is over! The book is here!
“Never have I seen wood abused and brutalized like this in the name of creating spooky stuff.” – Neal Scryer
The book features 178 pages, at 8 x 10. It is very detailed and features hundreds of photos, images and illustrations. Its a step-by-step tutorial that teaches you how to build a variety of props specially for readings, seance, and/or creating the true “haunt” feeling. The book is very well thought out, featuring large easy-to-read font sizes, and a ton of large images and illustrations which are clearly defined and easy to see from a distance.

“Thank you very much for letting me see an advance copy of “Slash, Hack and Saw!” You’ve done an incredible job at explaining technical information in an easy-to-understand way. The illustrations are wonderful, and very helpful, too. You’ve written it beautifully. I can’t think of any other book remotely like this, and I’m sure it will become an instant classic for anyone involved in seances.
“It’s hard to pick a favorite effect. I loved De Box, and all the things you can do with it. The one you made is beautiful, and could be used as an item of furniture. I was fascinated with the Traveler’s Table, and all the different ways in which it could be gimmicked. It’s easily transportable, too. It almost made me wish I was still doing readings. I can imagine Ron Martin making great use of this, and it was great to read his email to you about it. I loved “A Crystal Clear Message.” You could start a church with that! Like you, I have a large collection of boxes, but it never occurred to me to make my own. Your “Connected Disconnect Box” is wonderful, and I laughed out loud when I read your devious reason for turning it upside down! That’s sheer brilliance, and I know you could have fooled Dr A. C. Doyle with it” – Richard Webster
“Lary Kuehn has done it again. Working closely with his alter ego, T. Everett Bookings, III, Kuehn has produced a practical, step-by-step guide to build clever and practical gear for the mystery performer. From a haunted cabinet that can be used for dozens of weird effects to a diabolical change box with equally diverse uses. The descriptions of how to make the props are fully explained and are accompanied with very helpful photographs that can help even the clumsiest of builders to create props that not only look beautiful but are truly useful. If you are a DIY prop builder or if you have a friend who can do the work for you, this book is highly recommended. In addition to the core concepts explained, Kuehn provides several thoughts and ideas that will spark your own imaginative presentations.” ~ Terry L. Tyson
“I just got the book in the mail and devoured it. This book is GREAT! This book tells you how to make a number of projects. I recommend reading it from cover to cover with a highlighter and pen in hand to take notes. There’s no trying to figure out how to make a part and put it together. You are given what you need as far as materials, tools and in depth instructions on how to do it, along with tips and tricks to make you life in the woodshop so much easier. If you ever wanted to try and build something out of wood, this is the book you need.” – Evil Dan 7/22/16”
